The time may come when you should make structural adjustments to your house. When this time comes, you must ensure you have the essential support if you're taking any portions of the structure away. When this is the case, acro props must be used.

These tools are made of steel and are comprised of four pairs: a female section, a male section, a tiny stout pin and a winding collar. The female section accepts the male so the the 2 sections to entirely conform to the right height. Holes in these sections accommodate the pin to fasten the prop at that height. Further alterations may be made using the winding collar. The female and male section ends are composed of a steel place. This is used to help the prop hold good contact with the structure to be supported as well as the floor.

Timber needles and strongboys are typically used together with the acrow props. Timber needles are beams that are stout and short and the prop is put in proximity to each end as well as in the center. Strongboys, in contrast, are composed of one prop fixed to a strongboy which is then position for load support.

Needles are the number 1 choice when supporting a wall. Put holes in the wall with bricks sufficiently large to accommodate the needles. Once this is complete, acrow props are placed at every end and tightened. The area between the ground and brick must be small. Getting the needles balanced and in place can be very tricky so more than one people are mandatory.

Strongboys are more easy to use. Hack out your mortar joint where you want it to be supported. Insert the long arm of the strongboy through the hole. Tighten the props securely. The benefit of this technique is that the load should only be supported from one side of the wall. Before using this strategy, make sure the ground is strong enough to support the load. You could need to spread the load if this is the case.

Before using props, you must talk to a structural engineer, a local building officer and/or a qualified builder. This ensures you are utilizing the support materials according to specifications and so they hold the weight. Or you might find yourself in the situation where you might be reconstructing rather than fixing your residence.
